FAI position on the conflict in Ukraine and the impacts on WPC2022

“The FAI Executive Board has unanimously decided to suspend the members of Russia and Belarus and therefore removing all rights as listed in the FAI Statute 2.4.2.1. FAI Executive Board.”

Due to the FAI decision, the CAB – Aerosport Committee of Brazil – NAC FAI Brazil, expressed:


“In view of the decision taken by the FAI through the FAI Executive Board, the CAB decides to faithfully comply with what has been published in the annexed document. Therefore, all members of Russia and Belarus should be prevented from participating in the 11th FAI World Paramotor Championship, to be held from 20 to 30 April 2022, in the city of Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The aforementioned athletes cannot be accepted, not even as guests or observers, because their “Sporting Licences FAI” have been suspended. Sincerely, Robson Franco – CAB President.”


Due to the FAI decision and the NAC communication, considering that it directly impacts the WPC2022, we inform you that we will observe the sanctions applied by the FAI. At this time of suspending the registrations of Russian athletes, until another measure is applied by the FAI.
